Ueno Park is one of the largest public park in Tokyo and the centre of the annual Ueno Natsu Matsuri or Summer Festival. During this three-week festival a variety of events and stage performance are scheduled. The Shinobazu Pond inside the park is set to be magical at night with toro nagashi ceremony, where hundreds of paper lanterns floated across the pond. Stalls selling everything from Japanese street foods and souvenir items can be found lining many of the paths in the park. At the Suijo Ongakudo open-air stage, there are daily programme of artistic and cultural performances.
