Visita Iglesia is a Filipino tradition to visit several different Churches on Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday.  It is derived from the Spanish language which means “Church Visits”.  This tradition started in Rome where pilgrims asked for penance as they visit seven pilgrim churches.  For 2011, we visited the following Churches in Manila for the traditional Visita Iglesia.

Sto. Domingo Church (Quezon Avenue, Q.C.)

UST Church/ Santissimo Rosario Parish (España, Manila)
